MORE (Motor Oil Renewable Energy), a subsidiary company of the Motor Oil Group is a leading force in the field of RES, one of the largest RES producers in Greece and one of the most important in Southeastern Europe.

Having a vision to play a leading role in the energy transition and in the field of renewable energy sources (RES), Motor Oil Group completed the acquisition of Anemos RES from Ellaktor Group. With the completion of the deal, in January 24, which is the largest acquisition project for the Group, Motor Oil further strengthens its footprint in the RES sector and reinforces its leading position in the country’s energy landscape. The expansion of the RES project portfolio is an integral pillar of Motor Oil Group’s strategic plan for energy transition towards 2030.

MORE is an important pillar of Motor Oil Group’s energy transition plan. Specifically, the company operates a modern portfolio of 839 MW installed capacity, 94% of which is wind-based power generation units. In addition, it manages projects in various stages of development with a total capacity of 2.2 GW. It should be noted that during 2023, more than 450 MW of new projects were licensed with environmental permits, while final grid connection terms were obtained for 287 MW.

Over the next 4 years, MORE is expected to construct 311MW of new operating capacity in projects that are ready to build or have already secured final grid connection terms.

Furthermore, MORE has already secured Environmental Licensing for projects with an aggregated capacity of 895MW and additionally holds production licenses for projects exceeding 1GW.
